PHONETIC ACTION CARDS - THE VERB GAME
This is a fun activity for early readers that can be used to introduce verbs or action words.
Cut the cards apart and place them in a bowl or a basket.
Draw a card and perform the action on the card. You can read the card aloud or make it a game of charades and read the card silently, act out the word, and your child has to guess your action word. You may even choose to use a prop or two! Take turns to get everyone up and moving.
