Hi, I’m Charlotte.

I’m a certified Montessori and Positive Discipline educator and I help parents, caregivers, and teachers implement respectful caregiving practices with young children. I have experience in a variety of education and non-profit settings and currently based in Mexico. Social justice and equity in education are central in my work with children, families, and communities.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from North Carolina Central University and I’m an International Montessori Council (IMC) certified Montessori Educator for children ages 3-6. I am a certified Positive Discipline Parent & Early Childhood Educator with the Positive Discipline Association and have training in Co-Active Coaching. I have over 10 years of experience working in non-profit youth organizations, public and private education, and Dual Language Montessori programs in the U.S. and Mexico.

I help adults navigate Montessori and Positive Discipline so they can be present with children, avoid overwhelm, and feel capable and confident in supporting the child’s natural learning and developmental processes.

Whether you’re a trained teacher, homeschooling, unschooling, your child is in a conventional school or something in between - if you want to bring Montessori into your daily life, you’re in the right place. If you’re looking for positive and respectful methods to move beyond misbehavior and guide children with intention, I can help.

With individualized guidance, tools, and strategies you can feel equipped and empowered in your respectful caregiving journey.

Podcast Interviews

I had the joy of being a guest on The Apparently Parent Podcast with Eran Katz. In this episode we talk about one of my favorite topics: Montessori.

We chat about some common misconceptions around Montessori education, some key aspects of the philosophy, and what Montessori might look like in everyday life.

Let's talk about Montessori, education, and bringing it all back home with Bilingual Family. In this episode of Cereal Dates, we about some basic Montessori principles, what it can look like in your home (hint: it doesn't involve buying all the things) and a few simple ideas you can try out right away.
